At this moment in time, I sit down facing two laptop screens. One for work while I work my graveyard shift, the other being the very one I’m creating this post on. And that how is I welcome 2018.

Looking back, this past year were full of adventures, struggles, and stories. Some of these made me enjoy life to the fullest. Some of these made me reflect on my choices and aspirations. Some of these altered my outlook for 2018.

I’m usually a person with few words to say, partly due to the effort needed to put together words and make it meaningful. For that, I leave it to photos and videos.

One of my aspirations is to record my story here, through text and visuals. Given the amount of experiences I’ve so far gained, it would be nice to be able to tell my future self on what I’ve gone through.

While I may sound narcissistic, I remind myself of another goal I would like to achieve. That is to document and learn from my parent’s stories of their upbringing and life. I hate to admit, but there will be a time where they will be silenced forever, stories forever gone.

We shall see what 2018 will bring and how it will transcribe here, by text or visuals.

With that, I bring you a terrible image of my attempt of capturing the awesomeness of the recent solar eclipse in Oregon back in August 2017. Visuals and text cannot capture the moment then the two celestial bodies mingle together.
